  • 3/4th cup red rice
  • 1/4th cup moong dal
  • Cumin seeds, dry red whole chilies, salt
  • 2 tsp Desi ghee
  • 2 slit green chilies
  • Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Soak red rice for 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. In a pressure cooker, combine moong dal, red rice, and 5 cups of water. Cook over medium flame for 8 whistles. Allow the steam to release naturally.
  3. In a kadhai, heat ghee, add spices, and other ingredients, and sauté for a minute.
  4. Mash the cooked red rice mixture and add it to the ghee tadka.
