- 3/4th cup red rice
- 1/4th cup moong dal
- Cumin seeds, dry red whole chilies, salt
- 2 tsp Desi ghee
- 2 slit green chilies
- Coriander leaves
Method:
- Soak red rice for 30 minutes before cooking.
- In a pressure cooker, combine moong dal, red rice, and 5 cups of water. Cook over medium flame for 8 whistles. Allow the steam to release naturally.
- In a kadhai, heat ghee, add spices, and other ingredients, and sauté for a minute.
- Mash the cooked red rice mixture and add it to the ghee tadka.
- Serve this delectable Red Rice Khichdi piping hot.
